Every year MPS sponsors an entry to the spring floral show at the Minneapolis Institute of Art. Volunteer floral artists create a design inspired by a selected art piece.\u00a0<\/p>

The MPS sponsored design was created by Denese Erickson (see: Flying Celestial<\/span><\/strong><\/a> ). She used peonies, lisianthus and more to interpret the art work titled ‘Flying Celestial’ (Apsara). This is her 15th year as a participant.\u00a0<\/p>

In addition, there were several other members and designers known to MPS who created designs. MPS member Mary Yee, sponsored by the Chinese Heritage Foundation,\u00a0 entered a design interpreting ‘Marble Chair’. (See:\u00a0Marble Chair<\/a>)<\/strong><\/p>

You will also recognize designers who have given presentations at past MPS events or entered in the MPS summer show. There are designs by Sue Bagge, Kathryn Malody, Nancy Rand, Rita Gindt-Marvig and Phyllis Andrews.\u00a0<\/p>
